After a slight lull for the holiday weekend, theaters are bursting with a diverse bill of fare. More select offerings include "Savage Grace, " a twisted tale of high society and low morals; "Brick Lane," a melodrama about Bangladeshis in London; and "Garden Party," a web-of-life movie about sex, drugs and real estate (written and directed, as it happens, by my brother-in-law).
